Leaving Familiar
“Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?” And the Lord said to Moses, “I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.” Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.””
Exodus 33:15-18 NIV
During a season of change, these verses were a lifeline to me. I remember them leaping from the pages at me, as my soul processed the road ahead. I knew that God was calling us into this new unknown. Though I wrestled with all the emotions that accompany change, and the impacts change can bring.
Perhaps you are currently in a season where God is leading you out or away from something familiar? I hope the above passage of Moses’ conversation with God and this song will be an encouragement, you can trust God and his plans. He is good.
